Сюжет:
Бестолковый, но веселый и добродушный актер Джо Триббиани приезжает в Лос-Анджелес, где ему обещают новую работу. Поселившись в квартире, которую снимает ему сестра, Джо развивает бурную деятельность: флиртует с замужней соседкой Алекс, обучает своего племянника Майкла способам знакомства с девушками, пробует играть в театральных постановках и занимается ещё кучей разных вещей. При этом благодаря своей бесшабашности Джо постоянно попадает в запутанные, а порой и забавные ситуации.
